About the position

As part of the OMIC R&D team, the Research Project Manager (RPM) provides project management and administration for sponsored research projects, machine acquisitions and other projects needing close monitoring by the Director of Research Operations. The RPM applies their organizational skills and expertise to reduce the administrative burden on researchers, thus expanding our researchers' capacity to successfully manage project deliverables. The RPM works independently in a team-supported environment and reports to the OMIC R&D Director of Research Operations. They work closely with the researchers, prioritizing and completing multiple tasks and deadlines with limited support. The RPM works closely with industry members, university staff, faculty and students and requires an individual who is self-motivated, capable of prioritizing work tasks and who can willingly shift quickly from one task to another. They are willing to take measures to learn and expand their working knowledge through both sharing and receiving information in a collaborative setting.
