About the position

The Research Internship at Microsoft Research New England (MSRNE) offers advanced PhD students a unique opportunity to engage in sociotechnical research that addresses critical contemporary issues. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow doctoral candidates and researchers on sociotechnical research projects.
• Present research findings and contribute to the lab's community activities.
• Attend weekly lab colloquia and participate in discussions with peers and mentors.
• Develop and propose a research project that aligns with MSRNE's themes and can be completed within the internship duration.
• Engage in networking opportunities with other interns and researchers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program.
• Advanced to candidacy (or equivalent) in their PhD program by May 2025.
