About The Position

This position involves contributing to a virtual reality project focused on a Late Antique community. The research assistant will be responsible for adding sound files and digital 2D and 3D assets to a virtual reality space using CREWXR. Additionally, the role includes creating a dataset of artifacts from published excavations related to a Late Antique site in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Requirements

• Must be a Master's or postbaccalaureate student
• Must have knowledge of and a demonstrated interest in archaeology, conservation, curation, or museum studies.
• Must have skills in ArcGIS Pro, Python, Java, Javascript, and Recogito
• Must have knowledge of Ancient Greek.

Responsibilities

• Writing code to add sound files to a virtual reality space of a Late Antique community
• Adding digital 2D and 3D assets to a virtual reality space using CREWXR
• Creating a dataset of artifacts from published excavations related to a Late Antique site in the Eastern Mediterranean
