Responsibilities
- Manage overall project activities related to the USDA grant.
- Coordinate team meetings and regular reporting functions.
- Oversee communication strategies within the team and with project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with university and federal regulations.
- Manage the project budget and financial reporting.
- Assist with educational outreach events and event planning.
- Provide consultation to faculty, students, and staff regarding research administration.
- Assist investigators with funding proposal preparation and submission.
- Monitor budgets and reconcile accounts for post-award administration.
- Support multiple research projects and ensure compliance with research protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience.
- Experience in project management for federally funded research.
- MA, MS, or PhD in animal science, anthropology, microbiology, epidemiology, infectious diseases, or a related discipline; DVM or VMD degree preferred.
- Experience related to the dairy industry, animal science, and/or animal husbandry.
- Familiarity with federal funding agency policies and regulations.
- Experience in general project management practices.
- Experience related to data management and sharing.
