About the position

The SDA Requirements and Verifications Lead at SAIC will play a crucial role in supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA) by overseeing the development, integration, and testing of space systems. This position focuses on ensuring that system requirements are met through robust verification and validation processes, providing technical leadership across key mission milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the development and execution of Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP) for space systems, including Integration and Test (I&T) strategies.
  • Oversee Software in the Loop (SITL) and Hardware in the Loop (HITL) testing to validate system performance across different environments.
  • Manage Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and ensure system readiness for Integrated Systems Tests and on-orbit testing.
  • Develop and maintain System Verification Plans (SVP), Requirement Verification Plans (RVP), and Requirements Verification Traceability Matrices (RVTM) to ensure comprehensive requirement verification and traceability.
  • Guide Operations and Integration (O&I) efforts, collaborating with stakeholders to align system designs with operational needs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage OPSEC and OPR efforts, ensuring secure system operations.
  • Contribute to the preparation and execution of Engineering Review Boards (ERB), ensuring technical rigor and alignment with system requirements.
  • Ensure integration of System of Systems Design, CONOPS, and Systems Requirements Documents (SRD) across the program lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership in PDR, CDR, and ORR to assess and validate system readiness at key program milestones.
  • Manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to track the progress of testing, system integration, and verification efforts.
  • Support Launch Integration, Space Launch, and LEOps (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) testing to ensure systems perform as expected in orbit.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards for Interface Control Documents (ICD) and manage related system integration efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.).
  • Active SECRET with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Access.
  • 10 years of experience in space acquisitions, with a focus on the development, integration, and testing of space systems.
  • Expertise in test and evaluation processes, including TEMP, I&T, SITL, HITL, and system verification.
  • Experience in developing System Verification Plans (SVP), RVP, and RVTM to manage and trace requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Integrated Systems Tests, PDR, CDR, and other key engineering review processes.
  • Proficiency in System of Systems Design, CONOPS, and Systems Requirements Documents (SRD) development.
  • Familiarity with PLM, IMS, and ERB/CCB processes.
  • Experience with Space Launch integration, LEOps testing, and on-orbit operations.
