About The Position

Trouw Nutrition is a global leader in animal nutrition. Its approach to development is based on research, programs, and services. In Canada, the brand name is Shur-Gain, serving agricultural producers through a network of service centers across Quebec, Eastern Ontario, and the Maritimes, including a network of 13 agricultural stores. The Sales Representative - Swine position, reporting to the Swine Sales Manager, has the mandate to develop and maintain strong partnerships with swine producers and key stakeholders in the industry. You will act as a trusted advisor, offering nutritional solutions adapted to the technical and economic realities of farms.

Requirements

  • Required experience in swine production (breeding, nutrition, herd management, or related technical/commercial role).
  • Good knowledge of the Quebec swine industry and its challenges.
  • Excellent communication, business development, and client relations skills.
  • Autonomy, rigor, and initiative.
  • Proficiency in main Office suite tools.
  • Valid driver's license and availability for regional travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Training in agronomy, animal production, or related field (a significant asset).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a territory of swine clients primarily in the Quebec City region.
  • Provide technical and commercial support focused on zootechnical performance and profitability.
  • Identify client needs and recommend adapted nutritional solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with technical, veterinary, and agronomic teams.
  • Ensure rigorous follow-up of sales, trials, and farm results.
  • Represent Trouw Nutrition at swine industry events (AGMs, technical days, client events).
  • Utilize our Nutriopt models for growing pig and sow modeling.
