About the position

The Rental Sales Representative at Ryder is responsible for acting as the front-line sales agent for vehicle rentals, catering to both existing and potential commercial rental customers. This role involves collaboration across various departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management, while utilizing strong customer communication skills. The position offers opportunities for career development in sales, management, and operations, with a focus on building relationships and maximizing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Handle sales and sales process for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation.
• Responsible for executing the business unit's marketing plan.
• Maintain current accurate data within the company's marketing database.
• Maximize rate opportunities within the marketplace.
• Generate rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads.
• Maintain and expand relationships with the existing customer base.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Drive profitable revenue growth by maintaining and growing customer relationships.
• Reconcile all customer concerns, issues, and disputes to maintain ongoing relationships.
• Build constructive and effective relationships with both internal and external customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year or more sales experience required.
