About The Position

OOIDA is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Renewal Underwriter to join our team. This position plays a critical role in evaluating existing policies for continued eligibility and ensuring our members receive accurate, timely renewal information. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Two years office experience
• One-year insurance industry experience
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the trucking industry
• Bilingual (English, Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Evaluates entire policy for continued acceptability
• Reviews three-year loss history for eligibility to renew, forwards to management any that may not be eligible for renewal.
• Submits to agent for any changes or errors that need to be corrected prior to quoting.
• Completes debit/credit sheets to determine renewal rate.
• Orders MVRs for questionable accounts
• Prints and sends renewal paperwork to the insured
