About the position

The Remote Bilingual Workers Compensation Specialist at RemX is responsible for assisting injured employees in their return to work process, ensuring timely and accurate responses to Medical Only claims, and preparing recovery plans. This role requires fluency in Spanish and is fully remote, catering to candidates in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones.

Responsibilities

• Assists injured employees return to work safely and as soon as possible.
• Ensures Medical Only claims are responded to timely and accurately.
• Aids employees in recovering at work and supporting them through the process.
• Prepares a recovery and return to work plan based on customer scope of work.
• Prepares and presents offers of modified duty to injured workers.
• Partners with WC Manager on claim milestones and return to work activity.
• Communicates with injured workers, supervisors, Claim Professionals and physicians related to all return-to-work activities.
• Monitors the employee's recovery progress.
• Tracks injury and recovery at work statistics via Salesforce.
• Manages intake of all Self-Care Triage claims.

Requirements

• Bilingual Spanish required
• Bachelor's degree in business or risk management-related field or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years direct experience managing workers compensation claims
• Knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards, state safety statutes and local municipal regulations

Nice-to-haves

• OSHA certification preferred, but not required; may complete within first year of employment
