The Relationship Manager works closely with Loan Officer(s) and Bank customers to successfully manage and enhance the customer relationship. This role acts as a liaison between loan officers and back office lending personnel, handling tasks such as booking new loans and renewals. The position requires a thorough understanding of customer relationships and loan officer requirements, effective communication with customers, and the ability to gather all necessary information and documentation for loan requests, renewals, and modifications. The Relationship Manager is proficient in identifying, evaluating, and reviewing required loan and financial documentation. They are responsible for preparing weekly reports on past due, overdraft, and maturing loans, and assisting in the collection of past due loans. The role involves analyzing and preparing consumer loan packets, managing the process through to closure, and providing administrative assistance to commercial, consumer, and branch loan officers. Additionally, the Relationship Manager prepares loan disbursement entries, works with Title Companies and Loan Admins to clear requirements and complete closing, manages loan document exceptions, and reviews loan documents prior to closing. They serve as a key contact point for bank customers, manage officer pipeline opportunities, support follow-up/outreach, and work with CSRs to establish requested/required deposit accounts.
