About The Position

The Sr. Relationship Banker is an essential part of the retail team. In this role, you’ll have an opportunity to get to know Coastal’s customers and attract new customers while helping them reach their financial goals. Whether providing support during a busy day at the branch or offering suggestions for products that fit their needs, you'll have the chance to make a real difference in people's lives. Requirements

  • General understanding of the digital payment processing environment
  • Outgoing, professional attitude with customers, prospects, and co-workers
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
  • PC experience navigating in a Windows environment and using various applications
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience selling financial products
  • Previous experience growing and developing an existing customer base
  • Basic internet skills

Nice To Haves

  • Production generation experience preferred
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred

Responsibilities

  • Providing world-class customer service
  • Identifying customer needs and providing them with the appropriate services and products
  • Engaging with prospective clients
  • Working closely with Bank Center Management and teams across the organization to help customers meet their financial goals
  • Assisting with more complex products, such as consumer loans and cash management accounts
  • Participating in community and industry events to represent Coastal
  • Providing customer service per Coastal's Core Values
  • Interviewing and assessing customer and non-customer needs and suggesting appropriate products or services
  • Communicating with customers in the branch, over the phone, or during personal visits to local businesses
  • Conducting customer phone follow-ups and actively raising customer awareness of bank products and services
  • Maintaining an organized system for tracking and following up on customer needs and tracking monthly production to the branch goals
  • Providing customer referrals to Treasury Management, Commercial, and Consumer Lending, Cash Management, and Real Estate Lending
  • Providing timely resolution and follow through on customer issues and concerns
  • Completing required account documentation according to bank guidelines
  • Maintaining current knowledge of banking rules and regulations and completing monthly online training
  • Actively working a book of customers to build relationships, grow the book's value according to goals and keep a firm grasp on customer retention
  • Representing Coastal positively and professionally
  • Following and complying with all regulatory and compliance regulations
