Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current enrollment in (or intent to pursue) a healthcare or rehabilitation-related program preferred (e.g., Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Pre-PT, Pre-OT, or similar)
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred
  • Comfort using computers and electronic medical records
  • Ability to safely assist with patient mobility and physical tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support therapists in both acute and outpatient settings through non-billable patient care activities
  • Assist with patient transport, positioning, and safe transfers
  • Help facilitate therapeutic exercises and activities under therapist supervision
  • Observe evaluations, treatments, and interdisciplinary collaboration across settings
  • Assist with co-treatments and specialized therapies as needed
  • Document exercises and interactions in the electronic medical record (as appropriate)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
  • Support clinic and unit operations, including stocking supplies and preparing equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and visitors
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling support and answering phones
