Rehabilitation Intern (Summer Internship) - Acute Care & Outpatient, Bronson Battle Creek

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current enrollment in (or intent to pursue) a healthcare or rehabilitation-related program preferred (e.g., Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Pre-PT, Pre-OT, or similar)
- Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred
- Comfort using computers and electronic medical records
- Ability to safely assist with patient mobility and physical tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Support therapists in both acute and outpatient settings through non-billable patient care activities
- Assist with patient transport, positioning, and safe transfers
- Help facilitate therapeutic exercises and activities under therapist supervision
- Observe evaluations, treatments, and interdisciplinary collaboration across settings
- Assist with co-treatments and specialized therapies as needed
- Document exercises and interactions in the electronic medical record (as appropriate)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
- Support clinic and unit operations, including stocking supplies and preparing equipment
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and visitors
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling support and answering phones
