The Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech) position at ProgressiveHealth of Indiana, LLC is a part-time role focused on supporting outpatient therapy teams by providing assistance with physical therapy treatments and ensuring a safe and organized clinical environment. Responsibilities

  • Providing assistance with physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries and/or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone disease.
  • Monitoring the clinic's patients and supporting the therapist with treatment needs to facilitate a convenient and safe environment while providing excellent customer service.
  • Assisting in front office tasks which may include greeting patients, answering the telephone, supporting registration, data entry, filing, and patient record upkeep.
  • Safeguarding and escorting patients from one location to another, if needed.
  • Continually cleaning and organizing treatment areas and equipment.
  • Preparing patients, treatment areas, equipment, and supplies such as fitness equipment and linens.
  • Occasionally doing laundry and inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Cleaning work areas and equipment before, during, and after shifts.
  • Facilitating an efficient environment for coworkers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Background or interest in physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, or physiology.
  • CPR/AED/BLS certification or ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s).
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • High degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
