About the position
The Rehab Aide at Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics is responsible for providing support to physical and occupational therapists in the treatment of patients. This role involves assisting therapists with various tasks, maintaining cleanliness in the clinic, and performing front desk duties as needed. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evening and weekend hours, to meet patient care needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist therapists in the treatment of non-Medicare patients under direct supervision.
- Retrieve and assist therapists with the setup and administration of modalities.
- Set up exercise machines for individual non-Medicare patients.
- Monitor exercise repetitions and form as requested by therapists.
- Clean plinths, equipment, and surfaces to maintain clinic cleanliness.
- Adhere to varying work schedules based on patient needs.
- Assist with laundry and ensure cleanliness of towels and gowns.
- Perform front desk duties including answering phones and scheduling patients.
- Attend monthly clinic staff meetings and obtain agendas if unable to attend.
- Assist with the smooth running of the clinic and may staff at another CAO location.
- Participate actively in the Therapy team and related events.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience and proficiency in working with computers and electronic medical records.
- Valid CPR Certification for Healthcare Professionals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a decentralized organization.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows-based office technologies (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and professionally.
