About the position

The Regulatory Compliance Testing Manager is responsible for overseeing the compliance testing team and ensuring adherence to federal and state banking laws and regulations. This role involves developing and maintaining testing systems and processes for Deposit and Lending products, collaborating with business leaders to manage compliance risks, and providing training to staff on compliance obligations. The manager will also conduct compliance testing, document findings, and prepare regulatory reports, all while championing process improvements to enhance compliance effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the compliance testing team.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain testing systems and processes for compliance.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to manage compliance risks.
  • Support the development and administration of Bank policies and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate compliance testing across various Lines of Business.
  • Provide compliance testing training to staff and partners.
  • Document testing performed and maintain comprehensive work papers.
  • Participate in the oversight of Regulatory Compliance audits and examinations.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and monitor industry changes.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and filings as required.
  • Develop incident response plans for compliance breaches.
  • Champion process improvement recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience as a compliance officer or in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management processes.
  • Experience conducting compliance risk assessments and testing activities.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations and legal documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and banking software.
  • Ability to interact positively with a wide variety of individuals.
