About the position
Emory Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Monitor Tech for Emory Saint Joseph Hospital, responsible for being a capable technician who cares about the quality of their work and ensuring the safety for all patients. The position involves observing, interpreting, and recording telemetry recordings for monitored patients, delivering and applying telemetry boxes, ensuring correct patient monitoring, reporting significant observations to the healthcare team, and producing accurate documentation. The role requires a commitment to patient care and safety, with additional duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Observes, interprets, and records the telemetry recordings for monitored patients.
- Delivers and applies telemetry boxes to patients.
- Ensures correct patient is being monitored.
- Reports significant observations of cardiac rhythms and other alarm information to the health care team.
- Communicates pertinent information to patients as necessary.
- Produces accurate and complete documentation.
- Complies with handoff communication process.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified rhythm analyst technician (CRAT) preferred.
- Successful completion of an approved arrhythmia course preferred or successfully passing an arrhythmia exam on hire.
