About the position
The Registered Substance Use Disorder Counselor at BayMark Health Services is responsible for assisting patients through medically assisted treatments and providing techniques for managing opioid use. Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
- Complete Bio-psychosocial assessments
- Facilitate, establish, and review the initial treatment plan with each patient
- Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
- Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor
Requirements
- Registered Counselor in the State of California
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus
- Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patients
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
