Respiratory Therapists assist in transportation of intubated patients with special emphasis in maintaining airways and providing adequate ventilation and oxygenation. Assess modalities of respiratory therapy, recommend changes - including improvements appropriate to the delivery of respiratory care.
Requirements
- Minimum of AAS Degree from an AMA approved program in Respiratory Care
- Eligible for Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Current NYS Respiratory Therapy licensure
- BCLS certification
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are required
Responsibilities
- Assist in transportation of intubated patients with special emphasis in maintaining airways and providing adequate ventilation and oxygenation.
- Assess modalities of respiratory therapy, recommend changes - including improvements appropriate to the delivery of respiratory care.
