About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Petoskey, MI. This position involves providing respiratory care to a diverse patient population, from infants to the elderly, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and modify treatment plans. The role requires independent judgment, especially in intensive care settings, and includes performing diagnostic tests, administering treatments, and educating patients on equipment usage. A strict attendance policy is in effect, with a 3-strike system for absences or lateness, though exceptions may be made for documented medical situations.

Requirements

  • 2+ Years of RRT Experience
  • Current Active American Heart Association BLS credentials
  • Current ACLS (AHA) credentials
  • Current NRP credentials
  • Meet Michigan State License Requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Perform chest examinations on a range of patients from babies through to the elderly
  • Consult with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient treatment plans
  • Provide detailed therapy, requiring significant independent judgment, like when caring for patients in intensive care
  • Perform physical examination and diagnostic tests measuring lung capacity and blood acidity and alkalinity
  • Treat patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
  • Connect patients who can’t breathe to a ventilator
  • Educate patients on how to use equipment and medication
  • Regularly check on patients and equipment
