About the position

The Respiratory Care Services department at MRH provides both diagnostic studies and respiratory care for inpatients and outpatients. Our registered and certified respiratory care practitioners perform all therapeutic procedures, including inhaled medications, postural drainage, airway care, and oxygen therapy. The department collaborates with medical staff to treat patients with acute and chronic diseases, post-surgical patients, chest trauma, and coronary disease, among others. In this role, you will perform all procedures within the clinical area, including respiratory care consults, RT procedures, ventilator management, and bedside diagnostics. You will also assist with outpatient diagnostics as needed, utilizing RT protocols and MD orders for therapy procedures and ventilator management.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Graduate of AMA-approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC.
  • BLS required on hire.
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • Current, competent knowledge of intensive care and neonatal intensive care including EKG, ABG, spirometry, and oximetry.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and with minimal supervision.
