About the position

The Registered Occupational Nurse will provide clinical care services, case management, health assessment program management, and general preventive health services for employees and specified contractor employees. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with health regulations and providing support for occupational health and wellness programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care services, including assessment, examination, and treatment.
• Perform routine surveillance screening/tests such as substance abuse testing, respirator fit tests, spirometry, audiograms, and vision screening.
• Administer medical treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses as directed by a provider.
• Maintain medical records in accordance with established guidelines and utilize electronic medical record systems.
• Provide after-hours clinic support and call coverage for emergencies and site needs.
• Communicate with employees, line management, EHS, Human Resources, and healthcare providers on health and fitness-for-duty issues.
• Coordinate activities with Occupational Health, EHS, and Human Resources.
• Evaluate patients and review clinical records to determine appropriate treatment.
• Collaborate with external providers for case management and program needs.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing facility or similar environment.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Emergency Response protocols.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA, and relevant state and federal requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist
• NIOSH Certified to Perform Spirometry
• Experience with urine drug screen collection and breath alcohol testing.
