Responsibilities

  • Completes orientation according to expected standards.
  • Works with close supervision, responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice.
  • Manages workload as assigned, organizing and completing assignments efficiently.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of interdisciplinary care.
  • Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients to help them maintain or regain optimal function.
  • Engages patients, families, and caregivers in care planning without judgment or discrimination.
  • Knowledgeable of ethical issues related to professional nursing practice and follows established policies.
  • Aware of high reliability principles to deliver consistent care and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the U.S.
  • Proficiency in basic written and spoken English.
