About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Blue Plastic Surgery Center and Mirage Medi Spa is a part-time role primarily focused on providing nursing care during surgical procedures. The RN will assist in the operating room on Fridays, averaging three Fridays a month, depending on the number of cases scheduled. This role is ideal for individuals who may have full-time commitments but are looking to contribute on available days. In addition to surgical assistance, the RN will also serve as a Client Coordinator/Skin Care Specialist for two days a week, with the potential for the position to evolve into a full-time role. The RN will be responsible for delivering direct and individualized nursing care based on scientific nursing principles, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. The responsibilities of the Operating Room Nurse include consulting and coordinating with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. The RN will conduct pre- and post-operative education, serve as a communication liaison between the family and the operating team, and monitor patients' vital signs. Ensuring that the correct patient is operated on and the correct procedure is performed is a critical aspect of the role. The RN will also provide basic bedside care, prepare and administer medications, and report any adverse reactions in accordance with nursing policies. The RN will be expected to respond to life-saving situations, record care information accurately and timely, and prepare the operating room and recovery room for procedures. Additionally, the RN will initiate patient education plans and teach patients and their families about post-treatment care and medication management. The company emphasizes a detail-oriented, outcome-focused culture that values stability, support, and teamwork. The RN will work in an outpatient environment with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1, primarily caring for adult patients.
