Registered Nurse

About the position

The Staff RN is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. The nurse practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Community Healthcare System policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of CHS.

Responsibilities

• Implement the nursing process
• Direct nursing care
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Document nursing activities and patient care
• Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and associates
• Practice in accordance with established standards of care and policies

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau
• Successful completion of The Community Healthcare System's Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs
• Current certification in ACLS as required in specialty areas (Critical Care)
• Current CPR certification
