About the position

DaVita is seeking a compassionate Nurse to provide care in an outpatient dialysis center, focusing on patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The role emphasizes building meaningful relationships with patients and their families while delivering empathetic care. No prior dialysis experience is required, as training will be provided. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, overseeing patient care with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families.
• Deliver empathetic and compassionate care to patients dealing with chronic kidney disease.
• Oversee a group of patients and conduct patient observations with the support of PCTs.
• Measure patient statistics and set up dialysis machines.
• Float to various clinics during and after training as needed.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) preferred; a three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for a nursing degree.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) settings.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification.
