About The Position
Join Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - McKinney as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! Our Mother/Baby Unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. We foster an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The patient population includes Mother-Baby with occasional GYN surgery patients. The unit has 20 beds (expandable to 25) and maintains a patient ratio of 1:3 couplets (1:6). The department boasts a >90% BSN rate, >35% certification rate, 96% for Press Ganey HCSHPS customer satisfaction, an active Unit partnership council, IBCLC lactation support 7 days a week, Texas 10 steps certification, and on-site OB-GYN, hospitalists, and Neonatology (MD or NNP) 24/7.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Mother Baby RN experience.
- A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience.
- A valid Registered Nurse license.
- The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Provide care to Mother-Baby patients with occasional GYN surgery patients.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3 couplets (1:6).
- Utilize IBCLC lactation support available 7 days a week.
- Collaborate with on-site OB-GYN, hospitalists, and Neonatology (MD or NNP) 24/7.
