RN AH Pineville PACU PRN Variable w Call
About The Position
The Atrium Health Pineville PACU department cares for both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures. PACU nurses are responsible for immediate post-operative care of surgical and some procedural patients in “phase I recovery care” and occasionally “phase II” and discharging patients leaving the facility. There are 21 individual patient care bays, access to two medication Omnicells, and a centralized nurse’s station. Teammates work closely with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and OR staff to deliver excellent care to our patients. Pineville Periop Services consistently has some of the top patient satisfaction scores in all the greater Charlotte area and a high teammate retention rate. We offer a great culture with great leadership support. Leadership structure includes three clinical supervisors, one of which is primarily focused on education, and a unit manager.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS required
Nice To Haves
- Previous Critical Care, Emergency Department or PACU experience strongly preferred for this role
