About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the PreSurgery Holding department at Atrium Health Pineville is responsible for the preoperative preparation of surgical patients and the phase II recovery and discharge for patients leaving the facility following surgery. This role involves working in a department with 24 individual patient care bays, access to two medication rooms with Omnicells, and a centralized nurse’s station. Teammates collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and OR staff to deliver excellent patient care. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- Previous PreSurgery experience strongly preferred
- PreOp & Phase II recovery experience

- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.

- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
- Perform preoperative preparation of surgical patients.
- Manage phase II recovery and discharge for patients post-surgery.
