Please Note: This position is for a PRN Registered Nurse only. The Registered Nurse, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and in coordination with the Medical Director and Director of Clinical Services, is responsible for the management of the healthcare, nutrition, and medical needs of The Haven residents. The Haven endorses a trauma-informed care approach and a medical model of SUD treatment. Essential Functions The essential functions of the Registered Nurse are: Plans, coordinates, and implements client health services in conjunction with The Haven’s Medical Director Sets up initial appointments with the Nurse Manager or Medical Director for incoming clients and as needed Performs Nursing Assessment and physical for all incoming clients at Residential within 7 days of admit Performs and reads TB tests for all incoming clients, new employees, and annually for current employees Triages clients who may need emergency medical treatment at the hospital or from Emergency Services Inputs client encounter documentation through The Haven's EHR system, KIPU Other Duties and Responsibilities Stays informed of new medications for substance abuse treatment and when possible, attend in-house trainings and educational conferences pertaining to mental health and substance abuse Maintains knowledge of federal, state, local, and other agencies on regulatory demands and standards Contacts Medical Director as needed for direction with medical issues including medication orders Calls in prescriptions to pharmacy via order of the Medical Director Performs other related duties as assigned by the Medical Director and the Director of Clinical Services Additional Requirements for PRN Must work at least 3 shifts per month Must be willing to take on call as needed
