The Brook – Dupont, located in Louisville, KY, is an 88-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for adults. This position offers a $15,000 sign on bonus! Website: https://thebrookhospitals.com/ The Registered Nurse (RN) participates in treatment planning as a member of interdisciplinary team; provides assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status; administers medication and medical treatment as prescribed by physician; assess, direct and intervene in crisis situations; provide and direct milieu management, and additional tasks as needed. Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing (associate’s degree) required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kentucky required.
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience required.
- Current CPR Certification required
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of legal implications of nursing practice in performance of duties.
- Delegates tasks, and verifies completion
- Demonstrates full level of awareness of unit milieu, and provides appropriate guidance to staff
- Demonstrates ability to establish priorities concerning total unit milieu
- Serves as primary channel of communication between shifts, for patient care unit, and between departments during designated scheduled shift
- Observes and interprets each patient’s behavior, demonstrating an understanding of psychiatric concepts, diagnoses and developmental stage
