About the position
Espirita is seeking a Registered Nurse for a contract position at a prestigious healthcare facility in Sioux Falls, SD. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a long-term acute care setting, specifically within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient recovery and uphold the facility's standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a long-term acute care setting.
- Assist physicians and medical professionals in treatment and illness management.
- Manage multiple individual cases.
- Oversee daily rehabilitation and medication for patients.
- Work closely with a five-person team to provide complex care treatment for conditions such as pulmonary/ventilator liberation, neurological disorders, and post-trauma care.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Adult Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- NCLEX-RN Passer (or in progress).
- South Dakota RN License (or willing to obtain).
- State Board of Nursing approved English Proficiency Examination (if required).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS/PALS or additional certification.
- 24 months recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
- Ability/Willingness to relocate for a minimum of 3 years.
