About the position
DaVita is seeking a compassionate Nurse to provide care in an outpatient dialysis center, focusing on patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The role emphasizes building meaningful relationships with patients and their families while delivering empathetic care. No prior dialysis experience is required, as training will be provided. The position involves working in a supportive team environment and requires flexibility in scheduling to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families.
- Deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans.
- Oversee a group of patients with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
- Conduct patient observations, measure statistics, and set up machines.
- Work in a fast-paced environment using a combination of nursing skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or a three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for a nursing degree.
- Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) is helpful but not required.
Nice-to-haves
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification.
