Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator - Burn/Trauma Intermediate Care-Med/Surg

About the position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a RN Unit Coordinator for the Burn Trauma, Intermediate Care - Medical/Surgical Unit! The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, the RN leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. The role aims to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area.
• Provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) required or Master of Science Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Registered nursing License required.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• 18 months of relevant nursing experience required.
