About the position
TopMed is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional patient care, specifically in a telemetry setting. This role involves caring for adult to geriatric patients with various cardiac and medical-surgical conditions, requiring a strong background in arrhythmia management and hemodynamic monitoring. The position is temporary and contract-based, with opportunities for travel nursing assignments.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for adults to geriatrics in a telemetry setting.
- Manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias, including stable A-Fib and SVT.
- Administer cardiac drips and perform hemodynamic monitoring.
- Care for patients post-cardiac catheterization and manage TR Bands.
- Handle overflow patients from IMCU and other units as needed.
- Utilize Epic and Pyxis systems for patient management.
Requirements
- Valid RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a telemetry or similar setting.
- Experience with cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in tube feeding
- Basic arrhythmia knowledge
- Knowledge of various cardiac medications such as amiodarone and nitroglycerin.
