About the position
The RN Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Nursing by ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care, focusing on achieving positive clinical outcomes and enhancing patient, family, and employee satisfaction. This position involves leading the clinical operations of nursing units during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and facilitating communication across departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and direct the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shift.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, practice standards, and regulations.
- Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes.
- Mentor nursing staff and coordinate communication with other departments.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff for safe, 24/7 care.
- Participate in staff recruitment and new hire orientation.
- Make recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; BSN preferred.
