About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Freedom Home Health involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a home health setting. The role requires the development and implementation of individualized care plans, assessment of patient conditions, and effective communication with patients and their families. The RN will work part-time, with flexible scheduling options, and will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and adherence to medical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop a written plan of care for each assigned patient, assessing their physical and psycho-social needs.
• Assess patient's condition, initiate plan of care, and re-evaluate as necessary.
• Evaluate the significance of assessment findings and communicate pertinent information about the patient's clinical status.
• Assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques.
• Educate patients and families regarding pain management.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient age and clinical position.
• Perform all aspects of patient care in a safe environment, reducing the likelihood of medical errors.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere to all agency policies and procedures regarding payroll, billing, and documentation.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move patients with proper body mechanics
• Proficient in using medical equipment and technology
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
