About the position
DaVita is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to work in an outpatient dialysis center, providing compassionate care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The role involves building meaningful relationships with patients and their families, delivering care in a supportive team environment, and overseeing patient observations with the assistance of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). No prior dialysis experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families.
- Deliver care to patients dealing with multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans.
- Oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs to conduct patient observations and machine setup.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) preferred; three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, days, evenings, and rotating Saturday shifts.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) settings.
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification.
