About the position

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a crucial role in managing comprehensive nursing care and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents. This position emphasizes the importance of quality of life for residents, requiring you to utilize your nursing skills and experience effectively. You will be responsible for administering medications, observing residents, and modifying care plans based on their conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and administer prescribed medications and treatment following approved nursing techniques.
  • Ensure residents' charts are current.
  • Observe residents and record significant conditions and reactions.
  • Notify appropriate parties of residents' changes in condition and response to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
  • Take vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess residents' condition.
  • Keep residents' families and physicians informed of any changes in resident behavior, medications, or health conditions.
  • Modify residents' care plans, care directives, Activities of Daily Living (ADL), and Aide flow sheets in conjunction with residents' changes in condition.

Requirements

  • Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification.
  • One (1) or more years of experience in a skilled nursing or Long-term Care environment is preferred.
