About the position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Tri-State Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by providing high standards of nursing care. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, ensuring that residents receive appropriate medical attention and support. This position involves supervising Certified Nurse Aides (C.N.A.s) and other staff, administering medications, and maintaining accurate medical records while promoting a caring and respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to Guests/Residents in a manner that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice.
• Supervise C.N.A.s and subordinate staff, ensuring assignments are completed.
• Administer parenteral, intramuscular, and sub-cutaneous injections as required.
• Administer medications within the scope of practice of Licensure.
• Maintain a current report of narcotics received and used, and review documentation of controlled substances.
• Place pharmacy orders and document newly prescribed medications.
• Carry out direct contemporaneous charting during shifts and evaluate each Guest/Resident's condition and progress.
• Notify appropriate persons of any significant changes in a Guest's/Resident's condition or hospital transfers.
• Ensure adherence to care plans and assess each Guest's/Resident's status accordingly.
• Round with physicians as needed and supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.
• Provide wound care and maintain medical records in accordance with nursing policies.
• Follow established infection control and safety precautions when providing care.
• Assist with new admissions and transfers of Guests/Residents within the facility.
• Communicate effectively with Guests, families, and staff, and participate in departmental meetings.

Requirements

• Valid RN License
