Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintenance.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one-year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the comprehensive delivery of both direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative environment, employing the nursing process, which encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Extends across diverse patient demographics, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
  • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, ensuring cohesive patient management.
  • Direct and support the OR Technician and other personnel while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice.
  • Engage with various departments to facilitate a seamless continuum of care and enhance patient flow.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies.
  • Actively engage in Performance Improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and professional development in-services.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for colleagues, offering guidance and support as needed.
