Requirements

Current and valid state RN License.
Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintenance.
Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Minimum of one-year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

Accountable for the comprehensive delivery of both direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative environment, employing the nursing process, which encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Extends across diverse patient demographics, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, ensuring cohesive patient management.
Direct and support the OR Technician and other personnel while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice.
Engage with various departments to facilitate a seamless continuum of care and enhance patient flow.
Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies.
Actively engage in Performance Improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and professional development in-services.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for colleagues, offering guidance and support as needed.
