About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor at Transitions Healthcare North Huntingdon is responsible for overseeing resident care, ensuring compliance with care plans, and facilitating communication among healthcare team members. This full-time position involves working 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a focus on providing high-quality care and support to residents in a healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Assists in care planning for residents requiring advanced preparation of resident care.
- Completes all paperwork requested by the Nursing Office in a timely manner.
- Interacts with various disciplines in the facility to ensure proper resident care and exchange information regarding resident therapy and progress.
- Communicates changes in resident condition to necessary parties including MDS Coordinator and supervisors.
- Writes summaries of resident care reasons, noting problems and progress for physician consultations.
- Performs initial assessments of new admissions and prepares documents for doctors' orders and medication orders.
- Makes rounds to observe the conditions of residents.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Two years of experience in institutional resident care preferred.
- CPR and AED certification.
