About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Subacute position is located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. This is a full-time, day shift position that also qualifies for a sign-on bonus. The RN will report to the Director and/or Nurse Manager of Sub-acute Nursing and will be responsible for the assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation of the patient's treatment plan. Additionally, the RN will provide education for the patient's/resident's families. The role involves directing and supervising nursing care given to patients/residents to ensure the highest quality of care is rendered in accordance with the Sub-acute standards and Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment of patient's treatment plan
  • Planning and intervention for patient care
  • Evaluation and documentation of patient care
  • Providing education for patient's/resident's families
  • Directing and supervising nursing care to ensure quality care

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a ventilator/tracheostomy skills competency within the first seven days during unit orientation and annually thereafter
  • Minimum of six months Sub-Acute experience preferred
  • Minimum of six months experience within the past two years in a general acute care facility or equivalent competency for tracheostomy and ventilator dependent patients
  • Current California RN license required
  • Current BCLS (CPR) certification required

Nice-to-haves

  • ACLS certificate preferred
