The Registered Nurse Navigator position at Banner Payson Medical Center involves managing day-to-day operations within the Perioperative department, providing clinical oversight, and ensuring quality nursing care for patients undergoing specialty procedures. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Perioperative department.
- Provide clinical oversight and ensure quality nursing care.
- Coordinate patient and physician needs for specialty procedures.
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care.
- Serve as a liaison with physicians and allied health personnel.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards and organizational policies.
- Promote continuity of care through effective communication.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and precept staff to support their growth and development.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify operational needs.
Requirements
- Current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of three years of related clinical experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional improvement.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and leadership abilities.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Professional certification preferred.
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
