About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Elder Care Homecare involves providing compassionate care to seniors in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. This role offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing nurses to choose shifts that best fit their availability. The position is available on a per diem basis, with opportunities for full-time work for long-term cases.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to seniors in private homes, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes.
- Assist with IV infusion and aide supervision during one-hour visits.
- Work flexible shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with a supportive team available 24/7.
- Ensure compliance with medical requirements and documentation.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required.
- BLS CPR Certificate required.
- Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience in a similar setting (e.g., hospital, clinic).
- Geriatric experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Trach, Vent, WC & IV care is highly preferred.
