Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - Weekend Program

We are seeking experienced nurses to join our Magnet-recognized Academic Medical Center, dedicated to providing exceptional care and fostering innovation in healthcare. This position is being filled for the Weekend Program- 48 out of 52 scheduled weekends must be worked in a 12 month period.

Responsibilities

• Integrate the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
• Practice Relationship Based Care with self, colleagues, patients, and families.
• Demonstrate expert caring through clinical assessment, planning, prioritizing, coordinating, and implementation of care.
• Participate in shared governance as empowered leaders.
• Engage in lifelong learning through professional development and onboarding of new team members.
• Adhere to clinical documentation guidelines and engage in performance improvement activities.
• Apply technologies that support patient care and implement evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
