The position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med/Surg department, working on a PRN night shift basis. The role involves providing nursing care to patients using the nursing process, directing and leading team members, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate care. The RN will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, participate in professional development, and coordinate effective patient care services.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Provides patient/family centered care focusing on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment ensuring patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Demonstrates ability to function in a professional setting through active participation in a professional practice model.
• Coordinates the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services through care management principles.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the LLR Board of Nursing for South Carolina or Compact Licensure Agreement.
• Current certification in BLS and to be maintained biannually.
• Previous hospital experience preferred but not required.
