About the position
Maxicare Select is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Home Health team in Broward County, Florida. This full-time position involves providing quality home health care services to patients, focusing on assessing, planning, and coordinating their care in a home setting. The role emphasizes a patient-first approach and requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' health status to determine their specific needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide skilled nursing care including wound care, IV infusions, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques, disease management, and medication regimen.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated and holistic care to patients.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Coordinate and communicate with healthcare providers, families, and caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, professional standards, and Maxicare Select's policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements
- Valid and current RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 1 year of home health or related experience
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
