About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Services at Providence Portland Medical Center plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care in a Magnet-designated hospital. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies.

Requirements

  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • National Certification in area of specialty upon hire.
