Registered Nurse (RN), ED

About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) provides professional nursing care, coordinating care planning with other disciplines as required. This position is full-time, working nights with a schedule from 1845 to 0715, and requires a minimum of six months of recent full-time acute care experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department (ED)
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines as required

Requirements

• Current CA Registered Nurse License
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
• Minimum of six (6) months of recent full-time acute care experience in an acute care hospital or the equivalent
• Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within 6 months of hire

Nice-to-haves

• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous ER experience, and/or Six (6) months acute care experience
• Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV) & College of American Pathologist (CAP) Requirements
