About The Position

The UH Parma Medical Center is a 32 bed Level 3 Trauma Center. We have 24 beds on the main side of the ED & beds on the Super Track side. We are for patients ranging in ages from newborn to elderly. Parma ED is also Stroke Accredited & Chest Pain Accredited. This role provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to assist them in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. The Registered Nurse implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care, demonstrating technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes, clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations, developing self and contributing to the professional practice of nursing, displaying leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes, and displaying the mission of the hospital and its values.

Requirements

  • Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program
  • An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance.
  • Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
  • Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
